PENGARUH STABILISASI ABU SEKAM PADI PADA TANAH LEMPUNG TERHADAP SIFAT PERMEABEL TANAH SEPANJANG AREA HORIZONTAL (STUDI KASUS: GLAGAH AGUNG,PURWOHARJO, BANYUWANGI)
Jatimulyo Hamlet, Glagah Agung Village, Purwoharjo Subdistrict is one of the areas in Banyuwangi Regency that has a type of expansive clay soil with high sensitivity to changes in water content. Soil stabilisation is needed when a soil has poor soil quality. This research aims to simplify the technical implementation of stabilisation in the field by implementing stabilisation. using this method is expected to reduce the cost of the soil stabilisation process. The purpose of this study was to determine the highest CBR value on the test specimens treated with different duration of the soaking period. In this research, 8% of rice husk ash was used as stabilisation material and the tests conducted were light density test and dry CBR. The CBR value of the stabilised soil using rice husk ash received a high increase from the original soil CBR value with a value of 9,8% to 38.3% with a percentage increase of 28,5%. The most effective curing period and distance in this research is 1 day curing period with a distance of 20cm from the stabilised point using rice husk ash with a CBR value of 34.2%. Stabilised soil using rice husk ash is able to increase and improve the characteristics of poor soil by increasing the bearing capacity value of the soil. Therefore, rice husk ash mixture is good enough to be used to improve the characteristics of poor soil.
