ANALISA KEKUATAN KONSTRUKSI PAD EYE TOWING HOOK KAPAL TUGBOAT 27 METER DENGAN METODE ELEMEN HINGGA
Towing hook is a tool used to connect the towing line or wire rope from the tugboat to\r\nthe ship or object to be towed. Several tensile loads result in stress distribution that occurs in\r\nthe stern of the ship and the area around the towing hook eye pad due to the pulling motion\r\ncarried out by the ship, which can cause many problems such as deformation, cracks,\r\ndamage, fractures, etc. The analysis aims to determine the equivalent stress, deformation and\r\nsafety factor values of the tugboat towing hook foundation construction, as well as to\r\ndetermine the location of the critical points on the three variations of the towing hook\r\nbracket, namely variation 1 bracket 100 x 100 x 12, variation 2 bracket 100 x 100 x 16, and\r\nvariation 3 bracket 100 x 165 x 8. The results of the analysis and calculation of variation 1\r\nequivalent stress value of 189.64 Mpa, while for variation 2 equivalent stress value of 183.56\r\nMpa, and variation 3 equivalent stress value of 183.38 Mpa. The criteria of the Pad eye\r\nTowing Hook structure from the simulation results obtained are that the Pad eye Towing\r\nHook with the third variation is better for use or operation because the value of the maximum\r\nstress is smaller and the level of deformation is lower than variations 1 and 2.
